Our three sons, Lexi, & Kitty.

My wife, Sheryl, and I live in a small suburban community of Andover, contiguous with Wichita, Kansas.   Sheryl works as head of marketing for the Cessna credit union.  We have three sons, all grown and on their own. Bo, our youngest, is studying to be a gourmet chef in Kansas City.  Reese makes his home in Aspen, Colorado.  He is manager and partner in Aspen’s  largest  snow  removal company.   His love for playing with Tonka trucks as a boy grew into the real thing. Cullen is our oldest, and has recently begun teaching in the art department at Missouri State University. He is a graduate of the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Detroit, Michigan.  Our yellow Lab is named Lexi.  When not playing in the lake behind the house, she entertains the cat, named Kitty.

.... It’s hard for us to call a cat by any other name.

Kitty was a shelter cat.  Our Great Dane, Toto, passed away and I wanted a companion for Lexi.  Kitty was never afraid of dogs.  In fact, when she first came to live with us, she seemed more at home with the dog than with humans.  Sheryl has always been an animal lover.  We owned a gallery before moving to Wichita and Sheryl would interview prospective employees by asking them if they liked animals.  This was an important question considering that our 175 lb. Great Dane often came to the office.  More importantly to Sheryl, she felt that the love for animals defines one’s character.  We have close friends who dedicated much of their lives to finding good homes for stray felines.  This page is dedicated to Martha and her passion for kitties.  We often have marveled at her husband Tom’s patience as Martha dedicated much of their energies to trapping feral cats and introducing them to civilized society.  Tom is a prince in every way.

Kitty, busy training for a beauty contest.
