Larry Stephenson, watercolor artist, has created a collective body of artworks entitled Toyz and a second compilation of angling art and fly fishing paintings. His whimsical artwork hits on exaggerated notes stolen from everyday life, while using the artist's own experiences that only a dyed-in-the-wool fisherman truly understands. When the artist is not in his Kansas studio painting vintage and antique toys, Larry can most often be found streamside somewhere in the lower 48 casting to rising trout.

Toyz represents the artist's decade long commitment to retro, whimsy, and painting vintage toys in surreal settings that make people smile. The painter and his art are as American as apple pie while serving up a huge slice of popular culture not to be easily forgotten.
